Dr. Matheny and his family moved to Kent in 1962. He and his future wife, Rebecca Pozzi, both were in the first class to graduate from Kentridge High School in 1970. He then went to Green River Community College on a baseball scholarship. He played one season there and then signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates and played two seasons in the minor leagues. Upon his release from the Pirates, he returned to Kent to pursue his education at Green River and then attended U of W Dental School, graduating in 1981. He attended dental school on a Naval scholarship and served 4 years as a dental officer in the navy. In 1985 he and his wife returned to Kent and opened his dental practice in July 1985. He and Rebecca have two daughters and one granddaughter, all living in the Seattle area.
While in the Navy Dr. Matheny had the opportunity to further his education with rotations in Oral Surgery, Periodontics and Endodontics, and numerous classes and seminars. While I private practice he has furthered his knowledge by attending classes and seminars with some of the highest regarded researchers and educators. This has allowed him and his staff to offer the highest level of care using the best techniques and materials in dentistry
Dr. Sammy Pak, DDS is passionate about providing families in Bellevue, Shoreline, Tacoma, and Puyallup, Washington and its surrounding communities with the comprehensive dental care that’s innovative, safe, and effective.
His training and experience equip him with the skills necessary to treat routine and complex oral health issues, and he also focuses on preventing dental problems at every stage of life. Dr. Pak welcomes patients of all ages to the offices of Sammy BD Pak, DDS.
Dr. Pak completed his undergraduate studies at the well-respected La Sierra University in Riverside, California. He earned his DDS degree from Loma Linda University Dental School in 1999. Dr. Pak is an active member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Pierce County Dental Association, American Dental Association Council of Dental Benefit, American Dental Association CDT Staff Committee, Harvard University Advisory Committee and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He received the coveted Golden Apple Award for New Dentist Legislative Leadership from the American Dental Association in 2008. He’s also had the honor and privilege of serving as President of the Pierce County Dental Society.
Dr. Pak keeps pace with the latest developments in dental products and procedures through continuing education via postgraduate courses and professional conferences. His goal is to provide his patients with the best dental care available in a family-oriented and welcoming environment.
He grew up on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and has fond memories of childhood adventures with his brother and sister, such as learning how to climb coconut trees. These days, Dr. Pak enjoys fishing with his friends and chasing a tiny white ball around the golf course while daydreaming about hitting a perfect hole in one.
Dr Sandhu is a people person and loves interacting with her patients. She enjoys making a positive impact in her patient’s lives by helping them achieve their smile goals while providing comprehensive, evidence based dental treatment. She attentively listens to her patients and delivers treatment in a caring manner.
While she is originally from the Seattle area, she had the opportunity to attend dental school at the prestigious University College Cork in Ireland. She completed two years of a high tech Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. As such, she enjoys expanding her scope and practicing modern dentistry.
With her diverse upbringing, she appreciate learning and interacting with different cultures and backgrounds, she can speak Punjabi and understand fluent Hindi. When not in the clinic, she enjoys hiking, jogging, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends and her dog.

Chantelle has been in the dental field for about 20 years. She manages the day to day operations of the office and she works hard to assure that things run seamlessly and our patients and staff members are happy.
In her personal time she enjoys spending time with family and close friends. She loves to travel, try out new restaurants, and get outside as much as possible.
Heather was born and raised in Washington. She has been in health care for over 7 years and graduated with honors from Renton Technical College in health care administration. She strives to go above and beyond for patients and easily empathizes with each individual.
In her spare time, Heather loves to be with her daughter and their dog doing everything from cooking to exploring all this beautiful state has to offer.
As one of the first points of contact in the office, Rebekah is there to greet patients with kindness, compassion, a smile on her face, and song in her heart. With a knack for insurance coverage and eligibility, she spends her days verifying dental insurance and performing the delicate art of schedule coordination.
In her spare time, Rebekah enjoys the finer things in life like curling up with a good book, scouring second hand stores for hidden gems, learning new words, and is in perpetual pursuit of the perfect breakfast burrito.
Sharon received her RDH degree in 1985, and she continues to love her job as a dental hygienist. She strives to provide quality care and a positive patient experience. 'It is my priority to help patients feel comfortable and at ease by building confidence, trust, and friendships with each patient. I truly enjoy being part of my patient's lives and improving their oral health.'
In her free time, she likes many outdoor activities including jogging, biking, hiking, boating, and skiing. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Liz was born and raised in south west Washington and moved to Enumclaw shortly after graduating high school. She started out at a pediatric office and has found her love here for general dentistry. You can find Liz exploring the outdoors hunting and fishing… or on the couch piled up with her three dogs.
Kayley has been in the dental field since 2016 with aspirations of becoming a dentist. She loves interacting with patients and doing her best to make sure the dental chair becomes a place patients enjoy being in. Though she was born here in Washington, she was raised in North Texas. She is a fur mama to the sweetest deaf pittie. When they aren’t binge watching Netflix or cuddled up to a book you can find them adventuring around Washington.
Rachel is 28 years old she was born and raised in Enumclaw/ Buckley area. She has two daughters who are her best friends and the highlight of her life. She loves to watch her oldest daughter play soccer and gymnastics. Her favorite thing to do is go walk the waterfront and go out to eat at new places. She loves working at a dental office learning new things everyday and helping provide the best care to patients.
